Lve From Home: Military Scrapbook - Part 4

I have a ton of pages to share with you today! ?These are all from the week before deployment when we had family week and two ceremonies for the guys.

?This page is the first page from the family week. ?We spent a week up by Josh's armory where the guys trained most days, but we got to claim them at night! ?I spent the week hanging out with a couple of the other wives and we put the finishing touches on some of our projects, like the stack of greeting cards. ?We had a blast wandering around the city and enjoying some good eats! ?(I blogged about this part of the week here at Part One.)
?Flip the page on over and we have the second half of the week. ?The guys were off at the end of the week so we did some silly things (like flying kites) and eating more good food (Josh's buddy's parents own a house by where we were, so they had a cookout). ?We also took a trip to Traverse City, but that didn't make it into the photo spread.
?The week concluded with not one, but two ceremonies. ?The first ceremony was the Troop Ceremony. ? It was smaller and our families made it, so we took lots of pictures and sad good-bye.
The next day they had a Squadron Ceremony, which was much, much larger and about three hours from the first ceremony, so many people didn't make it. ?A couple of the wives and I made it and I'm so glad we did. ?It was really an awesome experience. ?(Read about it here.) ?I included a ton of text of this page - the top part is just a blurb about the ceremony. ?The big bottom portion is the lyrics to "I Want To Be In The Cavalry" which is the song they played as the guys left the ceremony and boarded the busses. ?So. Emotional. To. Hear. ?But awesome and a fantastic experience. ?I don't think I'll ever forget this day. ?(Or the night he flew out to Afghanistan for that matter.)

Annnddd now we're to deployment! ?Woop! ?We're almost there!
